Tunnel ventilation silencers are used for Automotive and rail transit tunnels. These fans move a lot of air through the tunnel to make sure that the tunnels are kept ventilated and gases and fumes are removed from within. These fans are loud and need silencers to make sure that announcements on platforms are audible. They also act as a safety device, removing smoke in case there is a fire in the tunnel.

Maintenance Access

Problem

Since the silencers cover the intake and discharge of the fans completely, access to the fan and motor is restricted with the silencers in place.

Vibro-Acoustics silencers are designed with removable internals to allow for access to the fan blades and motors.

Reversible Operation

Problem

Fan silencers need to be operable in both forward and reverse flow configurations.

Solution

Vibro-Acoustics tunnel silencers have internals designed in a way that they can accommodate both forward and reverse flows.

Special Material of Construction and Fabrication
